Dear St. Ursula Academy Community,
It is with a heavy heart and profound sorrow that I share that Nichole (Operacz) Flores ’89, a cherished member of our St. Ursula Academy community, passed away last evening, surrounded by her loving family. Nichole, an SUA alumna, past SUA parent, and most notably for the past 12 years, our principal, dedicated her life to the pursuit of excellence in Catholic education. She was a woman of deep faith.
Her passion for the Ursuline all-girls experience was evident in every facet of her work. Nichole’s love for her students was boundless, and her innovative approaches challenged all of us to think beyond conventional boundaries.
As principal, she was unwavering in her commitment to academic excellence and creating a joyful learning environment where our students, faculty and staff could thrive. In 2021, Nichole enthusiastically embraced the opportunity to bring the Leadership Program to SUA, working tirelessly to implement a program with globally recognized impact for our students.
As we mourn her loss, let us also celebrate her life and the profound impact she had on each of us.In honoring Nichole’s memory, let us commit ourselves to upholding the core Ursuline values that she embodied every day.
During this difficult time, we will come together as a community to support one another and to honor Nichole’s memory in a manner befitting her remarkable legacy. ...
On behalf of the entire St. Ursula Academy community, I extend our deepest condolences to Nichole’s family, including her husband, John, and daughters Isabel ’15 and Abigail ’21, as well as her friends and loved ones. May we find solace in the cherished memories we hold dear and in the knowledge that Nichole’s spirit will forever live on in the legacy she leaves behind at St. Ursula
Academy.
Soli Deo Gloria,
Mary
